Why not teach kids in school the importance of saving and developing good money skills after all it will set them up for the so called real world.

Instead of raising money smart kids we are raising a generation of have it now finance everything monsters that are getting in to debt ruining any chance of a life that doesn’t have to be so stressful and worrying how they are going to make payments on a load of things that they don’t really need in their life.

As parents we need to take this seriously because lets face it the government and schools will pussy foot around the subject until they are forced to take action on teaching some financial literacy.

The educational system is currently a archaic dinosaur that is conditioning our kids to become slaves to a “Good safe secure job” with a view to working your way up sorry to say but these jobs are fast becoming non existent as we are seeing on the doom and gloom media reports we are bombarded with daily.

Why not encourage our children to show some entrepreneurial flare and take some responsibility to better their future.

Well you should be! A question that is being asked by parents the world over is what does the future hold for our kids.

As a father of two young children I have become increasingly concerned about the lack of financial literacy taught to our children in schools.

Daily through the media we are subjected to the doom gloom and uncertainty of the world economy.

The pending credit crisis will see the availability of lending become very difficult to the average person.

With rising fuel and oil costs, property affordability, soaring land costs and a lack of job security across all sectors of employment is a very real concern not only for adults but for our children’s future.

Cost of living pressures are currently at some of the highest levels in recent history. As a result of this our children along with us are becoming nations of credit addicted people.

So in these fast changing and uncertain economic times it is imperative to future proof our kids and teach them to become financially literate.

Every child should be taught the importance of money and sound financial habits that will set them up for life.

By doing this we give our kids a chance to one day own there own home and raise a family which otherwise will be an unreachable dream for the majority of young children of today.
